Hello!

Doing my first wc after some 2000 hours in the game (i never played untill 1821 before) as Austria, did the normal shenanigans and pu'ed Bohemia and Hungary. I diddnt get BI so but fortunatly i got a habsburg on the burgundian throne in 1499 and pushed Burgundy and all of his subjects into PU. Pushed Castille (they got Fredrik Habsburg as an heir early because of France rival mechanics and so forth), Commonwealth i just supported my heirs till Elective ended and pushed that aswell, both in the early 1600. Muscovy fell under Denmark in union in the 1550's and i got to contest since i had them rivaled, so i pushed them under the Habsburg sphere aswell (they are now integrated, manually). Bohemia, Hungary , Burgundy, Netherlands, Brabant and Flanderen i got free through monarch death. I revoked in 1590, its now 1735 and im starting to get worried i havent been aggressive enough.

India is pretty much united under Bahmanis, Bengal got its original land and then some, no wars with Ming yet but their Mandate is tanked and since you can truce break for free with tributarys i feel they shouldnt be so hard to conquer.

I want to keep the vassal swarm as long as possible but i cant make any vassals because the LD for "non-HRE" vassals is sky high due to the game calculating all my HRE vassals in the "relative strength". Is it the same for Client States or will they not get the realtive strength together with HRE vassals?

My ideas path is Influence, Religious (for fast revoke), Diplo, Admin, Humanist and Offensive. I just picked up Explo but that was only due to not reaching the inner states of Africa otherwise so i wont spend anymore than the first idea in explo and will abandon it as soon as i know i don't have to colonise anymore provinces to get coreing range.

So the questions to you fellow veterans is, What would you do in my pos? How would you judge the timeframe? I would like to do One faith aswell but its secondary. I dont care about true one tag this run but if i inherit Castille, Portugal and Aragon i should have time to integrate Commonwealth for one tag.

As long as you keep attacking Ming through tributaries (just don't try to take them as a non-belligerent, white peace them as soon as possible to reduce your truce time to 5 years), you shouldn't have any difficulties. Just be aggressive, take as many wars as you can at the same time (preferably prioritizing targets with highest development) and keep yourself as close to 100OE as possible most of the time. I think you can take anyone except Ming in 2-3 wars?

That what was i was thinking aswell, problem is i cant vassal feed so i reach 100OE at 40% warscore cost. Does anyone know if Client States are calculated different?

I have been at 100 OE since Absolutism started, starting atleast one or more new wars before i peace the current one.

Edit: Maybe its worth to just push the HRE button, then however i think i lose the 5+ rep from enlightment? Wich is my only chance to inherit Portugal and Castille since they have grown to big otherwise trough colonization and so forth

Right, I don't think they're calculated any different, but I don't see why you wouldn't just form HRE. By that point you should have enough troops to cover the whole world already.

I hope you start integrating spain and portugal. If they have colonies, you must integrate them or it isn't a WC

Thank you for that, i had been thinking it was as you confirm but i diddnt know for sure. If i dont inherit it shouldnt be a problem to integrate them in time with my 17 diplo rep, my king is 50 and i should be able to get two chances before i have to force it by around 1780, portugal is at about 45% chance and castille 22%.

If you're at 100+ absolutism you can still one-tag this.

Client states get relative strength debuff just like other vassals, they just get flat -liberty desire for being client states. However they have no absolutism to speak of and can be a little unreliable at coring.

How much unrest reduction do you have? You can of course just go > 100 OE, but it might be easier to unify HRE and just spread some to vassals. You should still be able to annex everything in time.

Make sure you lay into the biggest development nations ASAP and strip them of their forts, the less truce breakage you need the better.

Edit: with 70% adm efficiency and -35% core cost you can finish cores in 2 years and take > 300 development before going over 100% OE. You don't have to go much over 100% OE to fully annex Ming in 4 wars even if you wait out the long truce (don't do that :p). None of the other nations will require even that, just make sure you're prioritizing hitting the large ones.

If you actually sustain coring of 300 dev/2 years you will get 12000 dev in 80 years, and that only requires 12.5 ADM/month if you're at 1 ADM/dev. The old world does not have > 22000 development in most cases, nor do you technically have to core every last province for WC :). You CAN, however, finish this map with 1-tag and every province cored if you execute it properly. The math suggests that you have wiggle room, just plan carefully and be diligent with troop placement, peace deal timing, etc.
