Indeed. With a game like this, focused on the long term, it's better to miss a session that miss a few players. I hope everyones personal stuff works out.

If we start at 7 it should be ok, that will give me time to make sure my baby is settled in for the night then come home for the game. They've been kicking me out at 8pm anyway :p He's gonna be in there at least another 3-4 days still and I don't want you to miss sessions because of me. So 7pm will work.

Also Hospital visitor chairs are not for sleeping in :( Shockingly sore neck :(

Well I'm off for another day of staring at whitewashed walls and the smell of disinfectant... :(

BB dont rush home, as we probably wont start till after 8pm, as JH is in a meeting till then. We cannot get major to sub as his new setup can not do it. And im sure on of our german subs would be too much of an advantage to sub for Uk.

So lets meet up around 8pm, Jh wont be there till about 8.15 but at lest we can load and get rdy for a quick start once he is here.

So meet up at 8pm EST.

PRAVDA NEWS REPORT, June 1937

Stavka reports further success in the construction of new heavy industry plants in the states interior. Furthermore, with increasing industrial capacity and technology, this industrialisation continues unabated.

The Red Army meanwhile stands ready to face whatever threat, with large forces now positioned on the Manchurian border. However Japans designs seem focused on China, with an undeclared war starting between those 2 nations, with assorted Warlords joining in. Mao's communists stand alone, at war with Chiang Kai Shek and Imperial Japan. Moscow stands ready to aid our fellow communists should they but request our aid...

a word of warning

I am grievely sus that a well known supply exploit is being used by Spain and possibly Italy.

I see large numbers of Italian and Spanish units in Ethoipa???

Just a simple statement by Spain and Ethoipa will be fine....then maybe Major as USa can do a file check. he is remote enough to not effect the game play and he is host.

I would be most pissed off is this form of 'Agent Smith esq' exploiting had crept back into our games.

Over to you guys. I suspect italy and Spain are bare and ethoipa and Portugal are awash with foriegn troops!!!!

Take this as a formal notice.

Well, I can say that Germany is supplying all its own units.

I hope given the righteous indignation shown by the UK that the allies aren't doing anything similar, like putting the Indian Army in Persia, or the US puttting it's fleet in the Phillipines.

Anyway, silly session, accidentally triggered a US gear. Oh well, one nation (Portugal) hasn't joined the UK alliance machine.

I agree it's a worry. We have no rule about this however, so I think we can only recommend what to do next time unless everyone is in agreement. The Red Army however is fielded entirely in bases on Soviet territorry.

Another thing to note however, is that the other issue I noted with some concern this session was the large scale transfers of UK territorry to Allied minors (Canada, South Africa and Australia). I can't really see any way that this would have been feasible or realistic IRL. Still, as per the original complaint, we have no rule about this, so we just work it out in game, and recommend changes if we're not happy.

Me - I think it's hard to manage to track it, and am ok to leave it as is.

I agree that it is a little unrealistic for people to do it, but its not only those nations you mentioned who do it, ive have seen a number of the player on the allied team do the same thing with allied nations. I am not doing it, hungary is suppling all its forces. As there is no rule for this and everyone "CAN do it" there is no disadavantage only a choice.

Also Joel rasises a good point about all the land you gave away, sam thing this is a bit sus as well, as if the UK would give it away. You have done it to suit your needs in war that is years away. Like everyone else you are doing things to get the most out of your forces and economy, i see no difference between this and the supply issue, really.

So if there r no rules on these two issues, i dont see a problem, everyone can do it, so its balanced.

So Mike if there is no rule against something no matter how unrealistic we can do it? hehehe I thought the Aussie groups aim was for a realistic game? Maybe I was wrong :(

Well I didn,t ask for the land transfers and for what reasons JH did it I dont know.
Actually it is a disadvantage as Australia cant supply all those islands so there is no advantage/exploit there. ( Memo to JH...for any advantage these areas should be given to the USA when Allied, not Australia) :)

The SUPPLY EXPLOIT is just that. An unrealistic exploit. A few units or fleets on ones Allies ground or an occasional 'good will visit' is OK but having near ones entire force stationed in Allied territory with homelands almost empty just to save supplies is pissweak.

There is no excuse!!

There is no specific rule stopping this supply exploit ( Although I thought we had a standing rule about no known exploits  ) but it says something about the players who use this exploit

Well it is a problem with the supply rules that causes this as supply is drawn from countries where they are stationed. I have no problem with aircraft and ships using foreign bases but to have entire land armies in foreign countries to save supply is probably taking it too far.
I as the USA have ships based in Liberia and the Philipines.
In defense of the Axis there are no rules on this this and it is very hard to control. I think some common sense should prevail and what has already be stated having entire armies based in these countries before war is probably taking it too far.
The downside to this is that the minor country is unable to field much of an army with the drain on its supply so it is not that great an advantage.
