News Flash

US Army decides to loan side arms to peace corp units deployed in the Pacific Ocean region.

US Army sources have confirmed small numbers of 0.45 cal pistols and 0.38 cal revolvers are being deployed to peace corps units currently deployed in the western pacific.

Peace corp unit commander Mr Chuck Vanderbilt VII has advised reporters that following informal interaction with Jap forces in Micronesia it has been agreed amongst command representitives that "whilst the representatives of the Japanese emperor may be thouroughly useful chaps they are certainly not gentlemen!!" As a result small numbers of sidearms have been issued. In a similar move the New York Times has been reliably informed that all British troops now deployed to malaya will deploy with officers equipped with sharpened umbrellas. Official british sources have noted that this should "bring the jap to think twice about attacking in south asia".

Personality of the week by Allan Mac Sanders - Chuck Vanderbilt VII

Hi Chuck Whats your job?

Good Question Allan I lead the total pre designated Osaka relief team as part of our desparately needed aid program.

How much do you think they need helping out in Osaka Chuck?

Another good question Allan ... well to put it in perspective latest reports from Osaka are that hamburger production has ceased entirely leaving the populace without any food at all. This is a big job. I am negotiating a pay rise as we speak.

Favourite weapon: personnel flame thrower

Favourite artist: Band of the USMC

Favourite vehicle: Sherman Crocodile version (he seems to love thickened petroleum our friend)

Favourite aircraft: A-26 Invader (its just the best)

Thanks Chuck.. Keep up the outstanding work.. back to the studio

Action in the Mediterranean

France November 39 - March 40

With their noses well and truly bloodied, and the snow as deep as ever in Eastern France/Low Countries, the Axis high command turned its attention to the Med.

Italian Warships and transports were spotted steaming West by Allied piket subs off Sardinia. French fleets were dispatched to intercept them and French bombers sortied at extream range to pound the enemy ships NW of Oran.
Axis sea landing infantry managed to dislodge the local garrison at Oran and establish a bridge-head but, without any effective air support, their position became untenable and they were obliged to re-embark onto their transports and withdraw.
With ever more Allied planes in the air and the arrival of Allied surface units into the area the situation was becoming ever more precarious for the Italians. Minor vessels from both sides were lost in the following actions but sevral were presumedly loaded Axis transports.
Sadly the majority of the enemy did manage to escape skillfully using their subs to screen their withdrawl.

Corsica fell to the Axis after putting up an heroic resistance. The small garrison in co-ordination with sevral French warships fended off 2 major attacks before being overwhelmed.

__________

France March 40

Both sides have poured more men and equipement into the front lines but reports of Axis mechanised formations stacking up in Southern Belgium has caused much anxiety at the FUC (French United Command).
Making things worse, sevral German probes using their latest tanks and mobile infantry against French positions at Liege have proven difficult to stop.

VIVA LA FRANCE!

Ive seen this many times. Early allied victories only to end in tears by end of 1940.

Just a tip to the allies, make sure you got enough transports to save what ever UK and CW forces you have in france, once those panzers get moving in good weather you will not stop them, not in 1940.

I can see the allies soon eating there words, unless ofcourse G stuffs up like the last 3-4 Germanies have in recent memory. Pitty, didnt see these kinds of things happen under a real adolf at the helm.
