Allergic issues

Bumble Bee said:
Sorry I had to go but I was feeling worse by the minute...the itching got so bad I was crying :( I dont think I'll be able to play SUnday unless I see a huge improvement :(

I know that you mentioned that your other half is a nurse -- keep an eye out with this itching thing -- you can develop an allergic reaction etc -- in extreme cases anaphylactic reactions can occur. These are serious -- are you on any anti-histamines etc???
If you start to get swelling around the face, throat etc.....time to get into a A/E dept ASAP...
Good luck with it!!

Cheers

I won't be playing the rest of this game, I already missed so many sessions that the AI has managed to ruin any chance I had of being able to have fun in the later years of the war. And besides this game has been incredibly boring for me from the start.

I will play in the next Sunday game when it starts but not as Australia :p

I think it's shame that you're quitting just because you are a minor....

Allies invade Germany

July - Sept 1943

In a daring feat of combined arms British Paras captured the unguarded port of Wilhelmhafen in Northan Germany. Herr Hilters blunder of not garrisoning North german ports opened the way for 30 USA mech divisions and About 20 CW divs to be unloaded in a matter of hours after the paras captured the port.
USA forces pushed East deep into central and South Germany whilst the CW forces headed West to liberate France and the Low Countries. USA forces reached as far East as Wolfsburg only 2 provinces West of Berlin before meeting crack panzer formations rushed over from the East Front. The amount of damage inflicted on the Nazi economy and Manpower has been imense. FDR has made a special broadcast from the White House saying that this spectacular and daring action by the Western Allies has landed a mortal blow against the European Fascists from which they can never recover.
With the mission successfully compleated. (disruption of German IC and drawing troops from the East Front) USA formations were then ordered to Fight a delaying action against the massing Germans while the CW forces mopped up trapped Axis units in France.
The USA Army fought all the way back to the original BH at Wilhemhafen from where it was Sea lifted back to France. General Bradley was pleased to report that no US army units were lost in the operation.
Paris was liberated by combined British and canadian units in late july with the capture of around 100,000 Axis troops.

On the East front the Red Army seems to have taken full advantage of the second front opening and has broken the Axis line in sevral places.

The race to Berlin is on :)

In Asia/Pacific

Things remain fairly static.
The Burma/India frontier has remained quiet with both sided reinforcing the front lines.
The US Army has built a new air and sea base in the Southern Phillappines.
A large scale but futile Japanese invasion againt Guam was easily defeated with masses of Crack Jap marines killed as they stumbled ashore.

Game

Well I now depart for two weeks and you can let someone sub.

In this game the Uk has:

a. never lost control of home islands.
b. delayed Japanese capture of NEI by 6-9 months, allowing US to secure Aust and PNG. yes we took losses, but thats what armies do..
c. Retained India - lost Burma.
d. Captured a german port and liberated benelux and France.
e. Routed Italian Army on the Nile - wayyyyyyyyyy back.

Yet to my allies I have fucked up. Who need enemies...

Finally I am BLAMED for advancing to France through Belgium - pretty hard to do otherwise from North Germany. As good as Hoi2 is - the ship supply rules are fucked and will ruin many games.

Have a good war.

Yes JH. You made a right royal stuff up with the supplies.
I sent you 4 or 5 messages in game to you telling you to gain another supply BH in France. Not once did you respond.

I offered US troops to help in Burma after your Vietnam disaster, you declined. You then lost Burma in yet another debacle so I had to send even more troops to save India.

Now your troops and the Canadians are deep inside France with no supplies. Well done JH :)

hahaha take it easy guys..... What other game can get you so involved? Your exploits on the western front have allowed the Russians to enter Germany and break the river lines in the South. You have created irreversible damage to German industry and MP. Its 1943 and all of France is allied controlled. I think you have done quite well and the learning experience we have obtained in this game is large. Not many MP games would be up to September 1943 with as much fighting as we have had and still going. The idea is to learn from your setbacks and plan better next time. There are lots of things I would like to do differently.I would have payed anything to see the look on Mikes face when you landed in Germany :)

Anyways Belgium is supply France just they dont have unlimited convoys to supply the amount of troops you have there. We can get around this for next session as I will play Belgium on my other PC and make sure they supply with enough Supplies and oil. It should not be a problem.

And JH you are not getting away this easy from this game we await your return so you can help finish the Germans off :) And this arguing that is going on probably happened in he real world as well between USA and UK >:)

The anticpated Allied invasion has happened. Some german armies were already positioned in Germany awaiting to counter once the allies spread them selves out. More forces were moved from the russian front to help drive the enemy from the west.

So German panzers were teaching the allies a lesson in warfare. This so called "raid" was a real invasion. The allies only started calling it a raid once there forces were being driven back and surrounded and destroyed. The UK lost a number or armour, motories and marine divisions in germany. Some brave italian forces held there ground in paris and even countered to push the allies back befor finaly fighting to the last pizza. The US also beat a hasty retreat as there forces were in danger of being surrounded. Session end most allied forces are in full retreat, or trying to gain more ground in France. German/Italian forces are now pushing on into france to destroy any forces that remain there. The allies have failed to liberate anyone.

Mean while on the russian front, the russian finly broke through in a few areas after reapeated mass attacks and huge loses on there part. If not for the allied invasion the russians were stuffed with there armies in worse shape manpower wise the Germanies or Italies. Soon the situation will be restored on new defensive lines and the return of fresh forces from the west now that the allies are in full flight.

Also there will be no human player of beligum. It was a players mistake and the land went to belgium. No one even takes control of nations when anyone else loses land to allies or minors, happened to me a number of times in russia. Frustrating yes but you learn for the the next invasion. Tough luck, better luck next time. Shore be fun though.

Yeh whatever..typical one eyed biased solution to a known bug and fault with the game. I was hoping that we could come to a common sense solution for a problem that is going to affect everyone at some stage.

Your spot on Major. Mike will cling on to this totally unrealistic Belgium supply problem which can be easily fixed. If problems like this Belgian territory abnormality are not allowed to be rectified in this group then I wont be playing in this group for much longer.
