For a change of pace, try playing a game where you take no National Focuses -- no "free" political power, factories, infrastructure, forts, air bases, tech bonuses, claims or war goals. Just use PP for non-NF purposes, including laws, ministers, influencing other nations and fabricating war goals (since you aren't unlocking any NFs, that also means no continuous focuses). It's pretty interesting how much that changes how you approach the game.
As Germany, having to separately fabricate on the Dutch and Belgians (leaving aside Luxembourg, Denmark and Norway) with the new war goal fabrication mechanics is painful and slow (even with the fascist discount when at war with a major). And this approach seriously nerfs the USA -- no War Bonds, no Giant Wakes, nothing until the Great Depression is removed by the 1940 election. But still very interesting....
