Audio Issues

Hello Paradox! My copy of CK II have some issues with the musics in the game, they are often distorted, what i have to do to resolve this problems?
The game,the video card and the audio card are up to date, the OS is Windows 8, i have downloaded it from Steam, and i have contacted them for the crash issues they have resolved the issues unistalling and reinstalling the game for the audio,they told, i have to contact you, thanks for the support!

So just the music is 'distorted', the sound effects are OK?
What exactly do you mean by distorted?
What if you play them outside the game?

the sound effect seems to be ok, and i cannot play the music outside the game or at least i don't know how, distorted like while you play a 33 rpm on the wrong side

The music files are .ogg format and you can play them with WMP

Also can you describe the problem more fully? You say it "often" happens; does that mean it's Ok when you start the game and occurs after a time? Or some game sessions it never happens? Does anything in particular trigger it? Is it any particular song or any one? Does it ever come good of itself, or does exiting the game and starting up again fix it?

The music seem to be ok in some song but when a particular song is played the distortion is played in a particular minute of the song, not every time i play the game the music are distorted, and if i close the game and start up again the problem is still here, this problem is only in game, the song are ok outside

This basically has to be a sound card, driver or codec issue. You have a sound system I'm not familiar with

and I haven't had any luck finding a good source of updates for this driver/codec.

lists stwrt64.sys with later version numbers but an earlier date, which is weird. Perhaps Dell can help you there.

Also please make sure DirectX is up to date. First run http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 - if that doesn't do anything then http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

Thanks for the help, I have found the same problem, i will contact Dell, DirectX is up to date anyway, thanks for the assistance
