Hi,

I tried a war to see how it works. So I move into enemy territory and sit there waiting to lay claim to the province.... the thing is they whole time I am sitting there my troop numbers are decreasing. I am not fighting any enemy armies, but my troop count drops. I have lots of supply.

Is there some penalty sitting in enemy territory ... even if you capture it?

How do you get around this? I am loosing more men trying to capture land then I do fighting an enemy army?

You have attrition anywhere your army is bigger then the supply capabillities of the province.

Oh,

So lets say the supply is 12, and I have 40,000 men there (would that require 40 supply).

Also is this to prevent moving a stack of 80,000 men into one province?

You're right.
