rather than disbanding armies, is there any reason why i shouldn't leave them sitting in my home provinces on 0 maintenance and let them suffer attrition? do new armies "recharge" in the provinces as unmobilized troops if you've already got one mobilized from that province already?

what exactly do the numbers mean beside the skull? is "2.0" 2%? loss per month?

how much do you lose in your own provinces, vs. neutral provinces, vs. enemy provinces?

yes there is. Provinces whose regiment is mobilized are more likely to get bad events, like failed harvests, poverty, revolts, etc., and less likely to get good events, like prosperity, conversion, and so on.

When your regiment is away there is still recruitment in the province. So if you disband it and re-recruit it then you get those troops added to the re-recruited regiment.

yes

own provinces: base attrition is 0% but if you go above the support limit you suffer attrition.
enemy or neutral provicnes: base is 5% and it gets worse if you go above the supply limit.
