Fractured government is when a party is popular enough to demand cabinet positions but is not getting them.

How does this work then for countries that have multiple parties but no choices whatsoever in Ministers (Guangxi Clique comes to mind)?

Good to hear it is getting fixed! I am rather perplexed at the fact that I had succesfully influenced most of Turkey ( as SU ) to become commie, but that I still couldn't do a coup! :(

Well then, there shall be a coup! TOMMOROW!

Same with me playing USSR trying to coup Turkey. Along with Romania, Hungary, Finland, Sweden and Greece.

Just got FTM today, after 3.03 came out. Was disappointed with my "successful" German Coup on USA. Ruling part was still Democrat.

When I hit "Attempt Coup" and got the Success message, there were 8 blue ministers, and I had about 32% popularity, entitling me to 5 ministers.

Hoping this is a Bug and not how the system is supposed to work.

Additionally in reviewing one of the information files (don't remember which) I saw that some governemnt types have (something like) "minister change on election = yes" but the government type also had "election = no", which seem to be at cross purposes. An example was (iirc) Monarchy.

It indeed is a bug. Already reported too.

I just succesfully couped Romania, just to see if it could be done. ruling party is national socialist. unfortunately, there are not enough nat.soc. ministers. also, even though ruling party is nat.soc., when I loaded as Romania, I couldn't change "open society". the tooltip said that the ruling party should be PCR. this is the case. waited a day. still not possible to change.

I am playing as the Soviet Union and want a Communist USA and I have nearly 20 cpvert ops but I am playing TFH so I don't know how to coup there after having covert ops , and if the communist coup failed, should I install communism there (The communists there have a popularity of about 25% instead of 10% at the beginning of the game

Thread necro.
Its 6 years old. :(
Admins gonna lock it.
Please start a new one with your specific topic.;)

Maybe its time to have threads of a certain age automatically locked or deleted?
Locking threads automatically after a year without activity might be a good idea, to limit access to the old archived data storage systems. Deleting the threads means that any useful info and discussion about older games will be lost, if/when someone drags out a 5 year old game from their library and tries to play it again, or downloads it cheap after it's all but forgotten.
