Attaching air units to armees

I seem to remember something about being able to attach air units to the armies in the developer diaries. Does any one know how one is supposed to do that?

You select the air wing and right click on the generals portrait. I think there are other ways as well but that's the easiest one.

Thanks. I have been selecting the air unit and clicking on the army itself, not the general.
