If they DO add completely fictional content, they should make us able to enable or disable it on the new game screen, rather than needing to turn off the DLC entirely from outside the game.
...Why?

XCOM: Falalalalanatlantis is pretty meh for me, but a dlc with aliens invading everything and forcing earthlings to adapt to their tech and tactics of the invaders would be cool.

Was there an announcement about the TOG event arc? Forgive me if I'm wrong, but you have to play as Norse to get it, right? And even then, the chances aren't exactly high, so a lot of people probably didn't even know about it.Funny how people complained about the historical accuracy of SSI, but didn't even raise a finger to the Lovecraftian event arc in TOG, which is arguably more outlandish. I fully would welcome a fantasy DLC for EU4. EU4 is a game first, not a history simulator!
Tell that to a Byzantium player.I wouldn't mind a fantasy DLC even though I wouldn't buy it. EU4 is functional, doesn't have any major shortcomings and so on, Paradox is free to do crazy DLC.
Because with every DLC there are quite an amount of mechanics changes. I.e. CoP: I don't want Random new world, but I like the support independence option....Why?

You are thinking in EU4 terms, think as of CK2.Because with every DLC there are quite an amount of mechanics changes. I.e. CoP: I don't want Random new world, but I like the support independence option.
They I don't get support independence? I want the other features, I just don't want fantasy worlds....So you remove the fantasy DLC from the launcher.
I have played way too little CK2 to do thatYou are thinking in EU4 terms, think as of CK2.![]()
