Well, I know a good shop for computer games where I found HOI II and EU III, so they will probably also have HOI III.

hey i want to know in wich stores i can buy hoi3 because in the netherlands it's a hard search to find it. i bought all my other hoi games at bol.com wil they sel hoi 3 to ?? can someone post a list wil al the stores/webistes where it wil come avaible then every can see were they can buy it.

hey Dutch Rommel, I believ there are MediaMarkt and/or Saturn in the Netherlands, otherwise close to the Dutch/German border. They will have Paradox titles.

after problems with some mods i had to reinstal my entire pc, so also the HD drive, to be able to play the normal HOI so cd/dvd works best for me.

I format my system quite often or change to a different location etc and I have found Gamer's gate to be more convient due to the fact I don't have to take my games anywhere with me.

I think I lost my CK cd so I re-bought on Gamer's gate when DV came out.

Either way installations are a snap and no more need to have all these game boxes cluttering up the place.

Where are the installation files saved on the HD?

You can specify the download folder. After installation, you are prompted if you want to delete them or keep them. Note that you still need to go through Gamersgate to install the game again though, but you save the download time.

If all you are looking for is ease of reinstall, go with Steam. Pressing "Verify integrity of the game cache" will cause Steam to check every game file against the version stored on its servers, then only download/replace files that do not match.

Yeah that's true. But I've seen HoI2 being on the shelf in the Plaisio of Peristeri, so i guess they will sell HoI3 too.

It will also be sold online at Steam, Impulse, Direct2drive and Gamersgate.


I think in benelux, the stores that had our previous games will have hoi3 as well.

Which companies in the US will carry the game? EB Games told me they only carry "mainstream games". Gamestop told me they did not know it was even a game and never heard of Paradox Interactive. Neither list it online. Best Buy does not have the game or Paradox Interactive on their web site and I can not find it at Wal Mart. So where can I get a boxed version of the game when it comes out. I do not and will not use downloadable versions. If those companies go under then so do your games. I prefer old fashioned in my hands software.

Lol, Incidentally I walked into a Gamestop 2 days ago, just to see if they were even going to get it. They looked it up on their machine and said they didn't have a listing for it. They never heard of HOI 3 or Paradox for that matter so I had to educate them :rofl:

Target should have it. They had EU3 when it came out. I wouldn't bet on EB Games or Gamestop carrying it, especially since they're both now owned by the same company. Not sure about Best Buy, and Wal-Mart...I just avoid that place like the plague.

Yes I bought EU3 CE at Target when it came out, so look for HOI3 there too. I don't shop at Walmart (otherwise known as China Direct).

If you're seriously considering bol.com as an option I would suggest broadening your horizons a bit. Games (as well as CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray) are a considerably cheaper in the UK than on the continent... As Paul_M suggested Amazon.co.uk is an option, but they will charge a handling and shipping fee outside the UK. However play.com does not - shipping to the Netherlands is free, and they do sell the game at pre-order for just eur 32.49 (boxed version, obviously). As a Dutchie I've been shopping there for years, and can highly recommend them. I've pre-ordered my HoI3 copy there, that's for sure. The only 'drawback' is that you have to use your creditcard rather than an 'acceptgiro' bol.com uses, but play.com will only charge you once the item is shipped, and so far all my ordered items have arrived safe and sound. And I've ordered a few items there until now (hundreds, for sure).

So far, not a peep out of either bol.com or Dynabyte, alas. And yet, those two carried the previous incarnations.
