This is probably a stupid question, but is there a quick and easy way for a nation to go to war with the entire world? I guess I could DOW the 3 alliance leaders, but that would leave out all the non-aligned nations.

In case you're curious, I want to fight everyone as a warlike U.S. and without using nukes.

Hey, that sounds fun. I think you could get to war with everyone if you jump in before loading, as nations that are able to declare war on the USA and also declare war on the minors that are unable to because democracy so that they have the freedom to form an alliance with those countries who are at war with the USA. So, some countries might get taken out before you ever get close to fighting them but every inch of soil in the world will be trembling with the beat of war drums. For instance, just have Argentina annex Paraguay and Uruguay, Peru annex Bolivia, if they can.

I think you need to tweak the sliders if you want to start in '36, but getting Intervention to max left should give you the option for war with most countries, and getting the slider down might take several years.

Thanks Dr. I! You're right, I'll definitely need to adjust the sliders using the F-12 cheat. A Paternal Autocratic U.S. should do the trick.

I'm still debating when the best time to go to war would be to make things most challenging, fun, and interesting. I'm thinking right when Germany DOW's Poland.

If you're curious, this is the inspiration for my campaign:

Paternal Autocrat probably has all the good generals. What you really need is max Intervention.

So, are you going to DoW on every single country all in one day? I wouldn't do it before all your ports are secure, but desert the islands, it's too much to develop in '36, and it offers nothing if they're taken. Plus if they're taken, your Devil Dogs need the blood until you get experienced enough to invade continents, with the whole werx, tanks and paras and rockets going in from the capital to the shoreline smashing their roads. I totally suggest DoWing right as soon as you train the last garrison to secure America. Take it traditionally at first, war-wise, with Canada and Mexico but make good use of the TAC bombers for logistical bombings. I'd keep most of the navy close to eachother like from Pittsburgh to Norfolk and jump the British with everything you've got.

Yep, I thought about the intervention slider. I've started with the 1933 scenario and keeping things somewhat historical for now. FDR is still President and I haven't messed with the political sliders yet. I only played up to 1935 to get things set up, modernize the navy, and bring down all that dissent. I forgot that the game limits what the U.S. can do in the 1930s.

I'm thinking once Danzing fires, I'll DOW Germany, UK, USSR, and Japan (and probably China too). That will bring all of the majors into the action. I'm embarrassed to admit that I really haven't thought about a grand strategy yet. Probably take out Canada and Mexico right away while waging a two-ocean naval war. I'm using the All In One Mod, so who knows what will happen.

Looking back, I really should have selected the Allow Democracies to Declare War option though so other countries could join in the mayhem. Hopefully my belligerence will by high enough.
