I looked for a thread about this but couldn't seem to find one.

Since (I think) the Charlemagne expansion the De Jure territory that should belong to Asturius in CM and TOG belongs to Leon, even though Leon cannot be created in the normal way, but only by decision taken by the King of Asturius. The only De Jure territory the Kingdom of Asturias itself has is its eponymous Duchy.

as a further wrinkle Viceroys still seem to be able to flip Asturias to Leon, which turns it into a normal Feudal title.

I spent some time playing as Asturias last night and I can see that there's no condition relating to Asturias being a Viceroyalty, which I'm sure was added in a previous patch precisely to prevent Viceroys flipping the title.

I remember us fixing this in a previous patch. Not sure what happened to that fix. I'll put a block in the decision for viceroyalties, so they can't use it.

Cheers for reporting.

Thanks, I remember there being a block on it too.

I'm more worried about the De Jure territory though, if I'm honest. With Leon and Castile being part of non-eistent Leon and not Asturias Asturias lacks some De Jure claims, there are also issues around granting Asturias as a Viceroyalty due to the orphaned Duchies and around Gavelkind calculation, I think.

I took a look at the 769 start and see what you mean. I want to remember that the duchies both belonged to Asturias at some point, but maybe I'm mistaken. I'll take a loot at it though and see if there is any reason for the current setup.
