3.) Some units respond to orders, some don't. Some respond to orders and then go off on their own. Is this a function of allied loyalty? Do allied commanders (as sometimes in real life) obstruct the chain of command, disobey orders or go off on their own?
This works well for multiplayer where one person can control all allied units in the Pacific and the other in the European theatre. However it does presnt some problems when the allied player is not Human since in effect both of you have control of those troops. This issue is being looked at.
Actually it did happen a lot. For instance UK counted yanks boarding UK transports for movement from Britian to France. They then charged each one for passage and deducted the costs from the lend lease they owed the States.4.) Inter-allied transport cooperation. I can't load British troops on American transports, and visa-versa. Is this realistic? A transport is a transport is a transport. While not usually done, it did happen during the war.
