For more roleplaying options with Necroids and Assimilators, could the Developers give us the additional choice with both Assimilators and Necroids to choose the type of species (Organics, Robots, Lithoids) we can Assimilate or Uplift. (Leave the current options we have with Necroids and Driven Assimilators, but give us the additional option)

  1. For example: Players can create a species of Organics that can Assimilate/Uplift Robots by replacing robot parts with Organic parts or there is an organic bacteria that eats metal and replaces it with itself. (The player can decide the flavor text)
  2. Another example: An Organic species that Assimilates/Uplifts other Organic species such as "The Thing" from John Carpenters movie "The Thing".
  3. Yes another example: A Lithoid Vampire race that Assimilates/Uplifts Organic species by sucking out all of their liquids and crystalizing them.
The Roleplay options this would add would be awesome.

or there is an organic bacteria that eats metal
There is a dig site with that flavor text. so it'd be supported by game lore.
