I was... But I was REALLY NOT active :-( I have been in the game industry for almost 5 years. I still enjoy the computer games more than ever, but during my spare time I usually play them instead of writing about them.

There's a cookie called "mandelberg" in Sweden that I think is my favorite, I haven't really pondered which cookie I like the most. A mandelberg is an almond and chocolate covered meringue cookie about the size of one or two fist (two fists for me, I have rather small hands). I like macaroons, chocolate chip cookies and Oreos as well.

Well, Mandelberg is a combination of the 2 german words:
Mandel=Almond
Berg=Mountain or Hill
So it could mean:
a) Hill of Almonds
b) another hebrew/jewish name (like Steven Spielberg; btw Spiel=Game)
a) would be an explanation, if the cookies are made of Almonds
I personally think b) is a better explanation, because it sounds more likely, that both (wine and cookie) were made by jewish creators. Think about the famous name Rothschild, and their famous and very expensive wine.
Since the mediaval age many jewish Families lived in parts of the holy roman empire of german Nation. They called themself: Ashkenazi Jews. They were very successfull in mediaval and later Germany. In that time, they also created the Yiddish language, that is based on the mediaval german language. I, as german, can understand most parts of this language, when i hear it in movies...as most words are very similiar to actual german words. I bet in that time they also chosed or got (from Germans) those family names. So many jewish people until today have family names, build from german words like: Tree Hill Red Green Stone Fruits etc. And many times build from 2 Words of that kind, like:
Birnbaum=Pear Tree
Spielberg=Game Hill
Rothschild=Red Shield
Einstein=One Stone
sometimes also created only from one german Word, like:
Bernstein= there is no german word for Bern asfaik, but Bernstein means in german language also "amber"
Sigmund Freud from the german word Freude=Joy
Gustav Mahler, where Maler means "Painter".
Ok...long story short....i bet the cookie and the wine were orginally created from jewish families....so thats the story behind, why both have same name.

None. "Going Gold" normally reffers to the master copy being sent off to be copied and boxed etc. Sometimes people complicate matters by releasing a "Gold edition" later with expansions/patches included etc, but they can do that whenever, there's no set numbers they need.
