Don't know if its already asked. But now you guys release everything on steam, so when can we connect our steam account to our paradox account so everything is automatically registered ?

Or am I going to be deleted for asking that.

We are looking into this, it will not be implemented on launch of the new forums, but it is on my wish list.
We will have a manual registration to accommodate our older games, but are looking for ways to make registering a game here easier, and what is easier than automatic.

Hey I started a thread under HOI4 about maybe making France stronger from where it was in HOI3 and it generated alot of attention. I was just wondering if there are any plans yet deciding how strong HOI4 France will be in comparison to where it is in HOI3?

Why are there so many expansions / DLCs for Crusader Kings? Is it the most profitable / most played Paradox game ever? How does EU4 compare to it in that regard?

Depends how you quantify it, CK2 has been out a lot longer.

Um, what the hell? Its well beyond Paradox's power to resolve all arguments on the internet. I thought that would have been obvious.

Actually little know fact, It is within my power, however with great power comes great responsibility and sometimes I must let one of the parties involved in a dispute suffer in ignorance. When I do interfere I prefer going back in time and retconning the facts to suit my version of events.

Do you have bibliography for your games available, which you used to do this research? And what is the copyright situation of using information from academic books or articles for making a game?

If you know historiography, you know you cannot trust historians, so we hatched an elaborate plan and hollowed out a large iceberg and built our own time travel research lab, this lab now fields 3 teams of "Timenaughts" that travel back in time and gather information for us first hand.

The only issue we didn't consider is with global warming and the effects it is having on our secret lair. Our history project may be doomed to melting into the ocean.

Consider, yes.
We revisit that a lot. Currently if the game is not officially released in the language it is doubtful that it will happen in the short term.
It is more complex than just creating a forum and say have at it. There are legal implications when myself or someone I can trust does not speak the language to make sure content is correct and the site is not being misused. We also do not have the resources for an unlimited amount of forums, so how to decide which languages to choose ...
Turkish and Italian for example are the 23 and 24th ranked languages in terms of number of native speakers. Russian fares a little better at 8th.

yes. All the time. There are however a lot of design, technical and publishing challenges to overcome before we could do such a thing.

Paradox, I love your games, and I'm glad your not greedy like other companies. Recently, during a steam sale, I purchased CK2. I had been hooked until I came across a problem: vassal limit. I had started as the count of Galloway and worked my way to a king with multiple kingdoms. The big problem is that I have to keep on giving to dukes, strengthening them and weakening me. I can no longer deal with civil wars, so I am forced to cheat. I have given so much I have so little. Even after giving everything I can give no more. I feel that this has made the game more tedious instead of fun. I know many other players with the same issue, so me along with other fans must ask to please to please remove the vassal limit. I cannot keep on playing with this mechanic. Expansions and patches are supposed to make games better, not worse. As a fan, I know that me and many other players would be very grateful.

Welcome to the forums, This thread is for questions to Paradox as a whole, your comments are more directed at one of our Studios PDS, they Make CK2, but even more it is game specific and therefore should be posted in the Specific Game sub-forum. If you have issue with a particular aspect of the game then there are Mods available to change them, (The particular stat you mention is very easy to change to whatever you wish.)
Register the Base CK2 game and that will get you access to the User Modding sub-forum of the CK2 forum, there you can find the information you seek.

Doesn't help him much when what he wants is an EU2 wiki though, which no longer exists now that Paradoxian is no more.
However, unless someone happens to have the IP address to the server it is hosted on, assuming the hosting hasn't expired as well, there's nothing that can be done about that.
If someone does have the IP address it might be possible to export the content.

Every going to say if EUV is gonna be a thing?

Anytime you have a successful product like EUIV then you can pretty much count on a sequel, the question really becomes one of timing and EUIV is still going strong with new DLC being released.

I wish for no more sequels and infinite (or nearly infinite) expanding of games with DLCs.

The problem you have there is that they are made precisely because there is a demand. Why do some games get little to no DLC and Others get a lot, it all comes down to demand.
However we also like new things, as a small company we cannot fund many new projects without a solid core of existing reliable products.

I feel we are trying to innovate and branch out to new franchises, When trying new things it often does not work out. you hear about some of them (Like Runemaster) others do not work even before you hear about them.
We are constantly striving to grow and be better for ourselves and for you guys/gals.

I would just like to know if some of the more specific unit models will be added into the nation designer such as the japanese model as it makes it extremely bizzarre to play as one of these nations with another culture or tech group's unit model such as if you want to create a japanese state you must use chinese units.
