That latest video of "Ask Paradox Anything" just reminded me of a question that I keep forgetting to ask. Why is Fredrik Wester so damn good looking. Seems like a weird question (even more so due to me being a dude) but It always made me curious, I always thought CEOs were supposed to be grouchy old men.

Why does Paradox toy with my mind?

I just bought a new pc with Win7 and realised I missed playing HoI II-Doomsday/Armageddon and installed it, however, the game editor is *bugged* in the way that it wont show all the window. I cant get to see/show lower and right fully, making it useless/impossible to save/edit stuff and create new scenarios...:/
Is this a known issue and if so how can it be fixed? Ive tried searching for it but couldnt find anything related.
Ive tried ofc to drag/expand it but it stops at a certain point nm where I place the editor. Meaning I cant see/change/set resources and map bounding box on provinces, cant set tech spec #5 on tech teams and cant see the save/edit options on any window.

Hoping for a possible solution

I understand that the Steam Workshop is intended to allow for community modifications to be released over Steam. Steam recently announced that Skyrim players will be able to download free community mods though Steam Workshop (though they're also making sure that they stay compatible with mods on fan-created mod sites. So I'm wondering, now that Paradox seems to be looking at making Steam its primary release platform going forward, is there any reason why Paradox titles couldn't have this kind of functionality incorporated in future? Obviously older titles wouldn't be updated for it, but is this something we could look at being included for expansions/patches of current generation games, including CKII?

Sure, absolutely. But it's too late for CK2 - maybe for the next big game after it.

Late 2012 or 2013.

edit: I'm talking about large projects, tons of expansions and smaller stuff coming.

You don't need to be sherlock holmes to deduct that more or less all PDX games get expansions sooner or later. It's our M.O., you should know that by now

You're asking if one of our most successful franchises ever, that already has gotten 2 expansions will get another one?

Considering that our "other" game - EU3 is known as "the gift that keeps on giving" around the office and has gotten no less than 4 expansions so far I'd have to say it's not a totally outlandish assumption.

Roughly when will we see a new engine in Paradox games?

If by new you mean throw away what we have and design one from scratch - I'd say it's very, very unlikely. Instead we constantly keep adding and refining the one we have. For CKII we have added/changed tons of code that new versions/expansions of our other games will be able to use.

Right now there would be no point in such a big change (whatever that change now would be).

Podcat gets technical in the FTM DD about multithreading, but AFAIK you don't need to do anything else to support more cores. If you have 2+ cores and the game has 2+ threads it'll automatically spread them out.

I tried two of their cupcakes yesterday, rather expensive and small but very, very good. There's a Cupcake Factory (or Muffins Fabriken) with ginormous cupcakes a couple blocks from the office that will keep you full for several hours, you won't be needing dinner if you eat one of those for lunch
