This is directed at the publishing side, What are your thoughts about Obsidian and their recent interviews with their owner about them thinking about being bought, and what are your thoughts on possibly purchasing Obsidian?

I have asked one of my friends to buy a hard copy version of Hearts of Iron IV during his visit to Germany. He paid 40 Euros in one of Saturn shops and brought me the game. However, I cannot install it !! The activation code mentions about a country restriction !! This is not a playstation game and wtf is this region code issue? Please help me to install my game. Thx in advance

I have asked one of my friends to buy a hard copy version of Hearts of Iron IV..

As far as i know there are no hard copy versions as such. All are Steam dependent and require downloads through Steam.
No idea about the region code issue.
It's probably to prevent folks buying a cheaper version in high numbers in another country and in short some potential illegal issues.

IF this is a "comment" then it's probably fine in here.
IF it's a "request for support" you are probably better off to ask support directly by submitting a request: https://support.paradoxplaza.com/,
as this is no thread for support questions as stated in the title and the opening post.

Be aware that the German version for legal reasons have Hitler, Himmler, etc. blacked out.

Maybe, but irrelevant.
As far as i know area codes will be applied to all copies wherever they are sold. Nothing to do with Germany specifically.
In case i'm wrong, then i'm sure some Paradox god/-ess will strike down on me....

Anyway, i'm not the person to ask.

The idea i had was about a potential case were copies are sold or transported illegally for instance from
Poland to Germany and sold then to the end customer and making a plus that way.

You need to log a ticket; you can't log in. That might be the problem. Logging a ticket shouldn't require a password.

If you mean paradox.zendesk.com, you do not need to log in there. The login field there is for Zendesk customers like us, not our customers like you. Just hit the Create a Ticket button there.
