All the events I have written for each game I have worked on, but I must admit the narrative events, Gates of Hell and Robin Hood, are my two personal favourite event series amongst them all.

Latest version is 4.1.12, which is mostly a security\bugfix update (as were 4.1.6-4.1.11) , so it shouldn't break anything.

Well, there has been two major overhauls. One way back in time, before you joined I guess. That was the biggest change. Then we had the upgrade a year or two ago(time flies fast!) where we got the current look. It did change somewhat from the look before, but the changes were mostly in functionality and smaller changes in style. And the addition of the useless facebook button ofc. I wonder when that one will begin to work properly.

I'm a big fan of many of your events from CK2. I still haven't figured out Gates of Hell. Some of them are just brilliant. Kudos to the whole team, of course.

Short Answer: Yes
Longer Answer: There are many issues for us to consider when Upgrading and the implementation it requires, it is not as simple as updating the software of your PC or installing a patch for a game. Remember that we do not use a vanilla version of the software either, we have implemented many customizations and 3rd party programs into the software. So we need to set it up on the test server and basically beta test it to see if everything works and adapt the stuff that does not. All that takes time.
Paradox does place a high priority on the forums and recognizes both it and our members as being part of our success, so where as we cannot invest the time to upgrade for each minor patch released, we do periodically update it, and will continue to do so. In fact Bjorn and myself have been discussing the current update plans this week.

What kind of backgrounds do you guys have, as in what would you be doing if you weren't making games? I doubt you're all IT grads (plus a couple of historians). Like probably many people here I used to dream about making games, as kid, so this is just a personal interest question but humour me if you will.

I have a masters degree in computer linguistics which I have never been able to use professionally. I have been working with plenty of strange stuff to finance my studies. Moving furniture and pianos for 4 years, art (nude) model for 9 years and about 10 other less exciting professions. I have also been a banana humper (yes that was actually my working title, but it's not at all as exciting as it looks ) and a ringer (cowboy) in Australia.
