One game that can span 1,000 years is less profitable than many* games that cover a span of 1,000 years. Plus we'd only have one icon...and that's no fun...
It would most likely have very low FPS, as all of those features requires quite a lot power.
All "eras" would have to compromise with all the previous/ next "eras". It would probably end up with a game like "spore", where all parts are kind of OK, but still far worse then if it would focus on only one of the parts.

This isn't much of a question but I noticed that devs are using American and British english randomly in the games, took a long time to find out what was causing the error in my Rome mod because even if all other neighbor modifiers are written in american english for example 'any_neighbor_country', the one I used was neighbor = x, which doesn't exist as it's 'Neighbour = x'
2. Not really, but we do have people who run it through wine and it seems to work fine.
About the neighbor/neighbour thing, that is very easy to explain. It is not the native language for the most of us, so we learn from different sources (reading books/on the web in English/US English) and mix what we learn to swinglish. It works well for the most part.
Not planned at the moment. If Salem becomes a mega success, it might become interesting.

I think that you guys do fine with English, which has a lot of dialects, not all of which are mutually intelligible. It took me a month to understand my graduate school adviser, and he's English (or is that English English?). I do remember some interesting mis-spellings in the CK1 code for marriage and ecclesiastical, but nothing that can't be overcome. I think that I understand anglish (that's Louisiana French-English) and spanglish better than English English, and any English English that I've acquired has been from watching BBC reruns of Blackadder, Red Dwarf, and Monty Python. And then there's suddern, which is what is usually called "English" in Florida.
Btw, the Elder Scrolls games do have localized versions to spell that metallic stuff knights wear as "armor" in the NA version and "armour" in the UK/EU version. But we Paradoxians are smart enough to figure that one out.

Is there a snowball in hell's chance that Paradox will ever make a game set in China's Three Kingdoms period? Maybe another little 6 month project like Sengoku?
In fact, even leaving aside the setting, I'd love to see more projects with a turnaround as fast as Sengoku and the same laser-like focus. My first love is your huge games like CK, EU3 etc, but getting little treats like Sengoku and barely having to wait for them feels great.

Have Paradox ever had any "creepy" or "over the top" fan encounters? Someone who showed up at the offices, or in a restaurant or something? I know Johan has received some... "unkind" PMs in the past.
Pls help i bought darkest hour via steam platform, i now have the problem that no savegame is loading properly. i heard there is a patch for that problem, but i cant register, because the steam key is too long to get the patch from the forum.

I think Johan has run into several fans over the years, most wanting to talk about HoI with him. I saw him several times at night clubs before I started at Paradox but I was wise enough not to bother him as I don't think it would have helped me once I applied for a job
PM and email is a mixed bag of negative and positive feedback, just as it should be I guess. My experience with actually meeting fans/gamers ia only positive though.
