I'd like to see the eastern hordes get something.Any hope for unit packs for Japan, China and maybe Korea?
Japan already has really nice unique models. Their tier two models are beautiful.
Gotta agree with this: there is a lot of interesting history and development of the Steppe Hordes from 1260 onwards that most people don't talk about. They deserve much more content tbh.I'd like to see the eastern hordes get something.
No, they're not. They're horribly outdated and low quality compared to most other unique unit models out there.
You're comparing three year old models to modern ones. Of course they're going to look outdated, but they don't look that bad.
Korean Artillery units should be replaced with Hwacha's just for the lolz.
As nice as Chinese and Japanese models would look, I would rather the nation's still using the very basic models get redone first. Would be nice to see the Far East get a face lift though. Maybe when they release an Eastern Asia DLC (SoonTM)
Manchus already have their unique units, but not Jurchens. Chinese and Korean cultures just straight up don't have any which is a shame. It's kind of strange how other smaller Asian countries like Vietnam and Tibet got theirs beforehand considering their relatively less influential histories during this era, but I'm holding out hope that Paradox is planning on an Asian focused expansion somewhere on their to do list. However given the recent amalgam of features each DLC seems to provide, it's more likely that they'll just improve a little part of every part of the world. I'd also like to see some unique ship sprites as well.
Eastern steppe horsemen were legendary for their ability to fire 6 shots a minute from a bow with a draw strength of something like 100 pounds. They were able to hit targets while at full sprint because they were trained to wait until all four of their horses' hooves were in the air simultaneously before firing. When rations were low they would siphon blood from the necks of their horses and mix it with milk to stave off hunger. The clothes they wore were literally sown together from the skins of field mice because there was little else to work with. The fact that these amazing people don't have their own unique units is a travesty.
I'm a bit of a fanboy, don't judge me.
Without human interference the game in East Asia should be a race between the Ming to reform government and be strong enough to survive the hordes, and the hordes to unite together sufficiently to conquer the rich lands of Ming. (Which is historically what happened with Jianzhou => Manchu => Qing)
