Ascended Synthetics still not able to be rulers bug?

I was about to post into the bug report forum but I figured that it must be some not so forward strangeness on my side, considering that this kind of bug was only reported right after the Le Guin release.

Anyone of you who played recently with synthetic ascension who can confirm that Synths can do ruler jobs after the "ascension"?

Mine were on shared burden and are now on social welfare living standard with full citizen rights and they refuse to do ruler jobs...

And it's an Iron-man save I wanted to use for achievments, so please don't post any mod solutions :p

I've got the same issue and on ironman no less...
I've read around and the work around is the change AI rights from default servitude to full rights BEFORE ascending because the option disappears when you ascend.
This doesn't help you or me until Paradox deploy a patch to make full rights automatic upon ascension.
Until then either persevere or hold the save for later
