As king, can't gift a duchy to my son and heir

My monarch has acquired three duchies, and wants to gift one to his son and heir. When he tries, two of the duchies show up in the available list, but the third doesn't. All three appear under my monarch's portrait as belonging to him. I can give any of the three duchies to any other duke or count in my demesne. I can also give any other title to my son.

I can't reproduce it. Could you please attach a save where it happens?

On top of that, I should mention that the duchy titles don't appear first when offering a land gift to the king's underage heir. Only counties do. The checkbox for "include lower titles" has to be checked for duchies to appear--which is backwards, as duchies are higher titles.
