I am a vassal much weaker than Ming (China), and he is trying to annex me peacefully, so before the annexation finish I declared war to survive. In the negotiation window, I found that if I offer a white peace (won't accept), the term states that "I remain as vassal". But if I offer a surrender treaty where I give him land and be his Tributary (he accepts), there is NO term stating "I will remain as vassal", and I thought "since I am tributary that should overwrite the vassal right?"
But the weird thing is, after he accepts and the war finishes, I remain as vassal not a tributary, and he didn't take the land I promised to give, so basically none of the surrender treaty was actually in effect. Is this a bug or working as designed? If it's WAD what's the logic here? I mean, in real life peace treaty doesn't have much power but, isn't the peace treaty a serious thing in the game? why is it not hundred percent processed? (btw I have a ally which is also a vassal of my boss, he remains vassal after war finish too)
So if I want to be independent and there's no way I can win a independence war, is there any way or trick I can be independent?
Oh and last question, does a Mod that modifies the game finish time disables achievement?
Thanks in advance =)
