Arrrgh AI keeps taking credit for unbidden kill

How do I prevent AI from taking credit for unbidden kill. Using my fleet I managed to destroy dimensional anchors, and destroyed stacks of unbidden ships while sending ship after ship across the galaxy to save it. What do I get an AI taking glory which has 15k fleet size, it's like fighting ww2 as Britian or USA and not getting any credit for the war becausethe Chinese had the last shot.
