- RULES CLARIFICATION -
MAKING ARRESTS
MAKING ARRESTS
- Your characters may arrest any foreign character who is present at your court. A foreign character is only considered to be at your court when their owning player has made a post in your court thread clearly stating that they have arrived, or are participating in conversation there.
- For the purposes of arrest, your court extends to the immediate household of your HoS - not the city outside or the realm beyond that.
- Your characters may not attempt to arrest a foreign character if their player has already made a post in your court thread stating that the foreign character has already left.
Until the powers of arrest are exercised, it is assumed that all diplomats/nobles etc. at any players’ court are free to come and go as they please.
- None of your characters may exercise the power of arrest outside of your court, as above.
- Once your characters have arrested a foreign character using the guidelines above, you may decide the fate of the foreign character for the purposes of expulsion, exile, trial and even execution. Once arrested, you may even transport this character to other realms, as it is assumed that your administration will have provided secure shipment as a matter of course.
However, you may not roleplay the thoughts or speech of the arrested character, which is still the sole preserve of their original player.
- No player may change the identity of an arrested character, after the arrest has taken place.
- No character may escape from an arrest unless their player uses the RPG Events system. See the RULES and Religious Powers thread, for details.
- These rulings are subject to moderator interpretation and also the RPG’s events system, both of which can overturn any of them.
