Army morale as a mechanic in CK2 is kinda boring, as you it is mostly modifiable through technology, buildings and certain random events. There is not a significant engaging interaction with it.
Following the latest release with the really nice addition of Imperial Decay, I just wondered if it would be interesting/balanced to add a similar mechanic for army veterancy through on_actions on major battle won and yearly events (plus interactions with marshalls/courtiers/vassals etcc)
But unlike Imperal Decay, the loss in army veterancy would drop very quickly as it would be mostly tied to the life expectanty of the soldiers (though a certain amount could be retained through discipline training ? )
Anyway I just wanted to share my ramblings.
Cheers
