I just had the head of the cameron dyansty in Valenwood, convert to the Ideal masters worship, and is now known as the chosen and is undead. Is this a new feature lol

Yep, that's the hallmark of Ideal Masters worship. Certain characters (definitely characters with the necromancer trait, not 100% sure about other traits) will get events allowing them to make bargains with the Ideal Masters, including events resulting in a culture shift and a large army of undead event troops.

And the eventual death of your character : P. It's impossible to meet their expectations.
