A thought that occurred to me recently was spawned from the presence of several generals seen in the latest World War Wednesday. That thought is, will military leaders and ministets be exclusive to political parties? For example, while there were plenty of German Generals who were not major supporters of the Nazi Party, there were some who were die hard Nazis. If I were to turn Germany into a Communist State, it would not make much sense to have Generals and Ministers who were major players in the Nazi Party as mambos of my government. Thoughts?

I'm fairly certain each country in WW2 had fascist, democratic, communist, and other generals. Albeit some countries tried to limit dissent more than others, in the end the military function of serving your country and the politics of its government were kept separate. Which is why is most regime changes you saw happen during WW2, due to puppeting, coups or whatever, a lot of the leaders were generals who were in active service in the military.

So no it wont be exclusive, nor should it be.
