Hello, as the titles says: what is a suggested army composition for the early mid and late game in art of war? Is there a topic about it already please give me a reference to it. Right now I play with 9 infantry 4 cavalry and 9 artillery in around 1600. It does however seem that it's not the best option. I am not so smart to figure out the best army mechanics so i just use the example from the forum. Thanks in advance :)

''This section may contain outdated information that is inaccurate for the current version of the game. The last version it was verified as up to date for was 1.7'' Art of war came with a patch 1.8. So it's not accurate. Is it? That's why i wrote army composition AoW.

The pip changes are not major, the guide is good enough.

Fill in the combat width with artillery for the back row. Fill in the combat width - 2/4/6 with infantry for the front row. Add 2/4/6 cavalry.
If you have cavalry bonuses you can increase the cavalry numbers but don't go higher than 40% of front row.

I'd say that 40% cavalry is viable without a bonus due to cavalry shock multiplier and flanking ability (i.e. maneuver) which is very handy in completely decimating smaller armies.
