armour upgrading qns

If i wanted to create my own series of seperate Lt. Armor and Armor Divisions, will the Lt. Armor automatically upgrade into Armor like in regular HoI2?
or is there a way to disable this so I can have distinct seperate sets of armor divisions?

It only upgrades the last Lt armour model to Md Armour so make it that the last Lt Armour cant be researched.
