Pure armour is more powerful and loses ORG slower, but they are expensive. MOT is much cheaper in production, supply and TC, so adding MOT to your armour corps means you get more tactical units out of the same number of tanks.

Combined arms bonus is nice, but doesn't really outweigh the increased power of pure armour. It's mostly a cost issue.

Besides ARM is much faster. When playing Germany you will need the speed to encircle your enemies. Using MEC once they are researched will maintain the speed AND still give you combined arms bonus.

You could see statistics for movement, attack and defence for Arms and Mots.

It strongly depends on terrain and weather.

So, no universal rules.

Also, it depends on your goals. What do you want? Where are you going to use them?

etc

MEC doesn't give combined arms bonus when combined with ARM, because it is a hard unit

I always go pure armor brigaded with SP arty. They are absolutely unmatched as spearhead formations. Back them up with a couple corps of MOT and you have a winning combination.

It's true that 3x armor is the most powerful corps, but it's murder on your TC. If you use 2XArmor and 1xMot, or even vice versa, you can stretch out your tc a little more, while the combined arms bonus gives your MOT formations just enough punch to drive through the enemy.

They're plenty hard enough. Remember, you're not trading 1 ARM for 1 MOT but for several MOT in both IC, supplies and TC load. Can't remember the numbers involved, but 2 or 3 MOT per ARM in terms of cost I believe. Less tanks but more divisions in total.

Point is, either way works. Don't forget MECH either, they count as tanks for the combined arms bonus and ARM-MECH-MOT or MECH-MOT-MOT are very cost-effective combinations.

Yeah, but I only build 6 panzerarmee total, so it's not that bad. TC always sucks when playing as the Germans when you go into Russia.

As Germany, going to war early on, I tend to build corps of ARM/MOT/MOT. If I play UK, USA, or USSR, which can all delay the land war to '41 at least, ARM/MEC/MOT is a better choice.

What I always do is build up formations like in real life... a Panzer army consists of 4 corps of 3div each, 1 armour and 2 mot/mech/cav. Have the general in command of the army run his own corps as well but with a HQ attached to it... its very good for encirclement battles (in south Russian plains for example) because you can use it as a wrench... you move your units into enciclement positions and have any corps' place (after it moves a province closer to completing the encirclement) taken by another one from the same army.

Besides you should keep in mind that armour uses more oil and is much worse in urban zones and forests, marshes etc. which might be important especially in Russia.

Armored Cav has higher hard attack[ and comperable soft attack] than Mot or mech and same speed as mech [faster than mot] . Armored cav w\SP Art and Mech gives great speed, attack and combined arms bonus .
