Okay going to open this up by saying I'm an Armenian diaspora so maybe I'm a bit biased but this is something that has been bothering me for the past few updates in the game. In almost every playthrough all of the Armenian regions end up basically being assimilated or converted rapidly... Which really goes against the experience we endured in those times; which was rallying around faith to not be wiped out. That continued despite the numerous occupations and the fact that Armenians had always had a presence in other areas; such as Iran for example while not having been assimilated/converting. I don't think it should be impossible but its just really weird seeing after only one generation that suddenly all the Armenians are Sunnis or they've hybrid cultured. Under the cultural traditions there is a +30% conversion resistance but it seems like this doesn't really have an effect. Yeah, I get that its not the biggest issue in the world, that the game isn't meant to be fully historical.... But this, among other things ends up making regions feel incredibly bland and too easy to rule. I'm sure there are other examples of this occurring for other cultures that historically were very adamant in preserving their culture/faith even when they were subjugated for centuries. There wasn't much sense to do so in the case of those living under Muslim rule considering there was a Jizya tax so it wasn't a crime to not be Muslim. That doesn't mean that the Islamic system of rule in those days was peaceful or kind, no shortage of pogroms... But it does mean that the Armenian counts bend way too easily and the end result is that the whole middle east ends up being too monotone. This also ends up being an issue in Spain as well when one side or the other ends up painting the peninsula. It basically takes away the difficulty curb and makes things too stable in addition to just basically wiping out a layer of depth to the regions with guaranteed chances of success.
