Hi,
I learnt yesterday about your project and I was pretty surprised, since I thought that EU2 was practically dead. This is for me great news since EU2 was a stronghold of my past. I've read that this is a team "community-based", but however you are an internal team of paradox, I think it must be some kind of alliance between the main developer and the forum community, but be easy with me if I have wrongly understood. I am myself pondering the idea of buying this game, but I'll have first a look at a demo, if available.
Thinking of this project, I have thought of another interesting project, the Pandora (www.openpandora.org). What is the pandora? It's an upcoming ARM handheld gaming device completely open source that I think could run and optmized and ported to ARM version of your game.
Just for reference, here are the specs on their site (the cpu however revealed to be overclockable to 800+mhz)
# ARM® Cortex™-A8 600Mhz+ CPU running Linux
# 430-MHz TMS320C64x+™ DSP Core
# PowerVR SGX OpenGL 2.0 ES compliant 3D hardware
# 800x480 4.3" 16.7 million colours touchscreen LCD
# Wifi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth & High Speed USB 2.0 Host
# Dual SDHC card slots & SVideo TV output
# Dual Analogue and Digital gaming controls
# 43 button QWERTY and numeric keypad
Do you think it could be possible for you one day sell a version of FTG for Pandora? If you own the complete source of your game and your question is "WHO could ever work at this?" I think that in their forums you could find some useful hand.
I am not in any way related to them, and I am not trying to make any spot, I am just telling you about the combination of my dream gamemode. If any of this violates any policy, please edit/remove anything or everything.
Just another question... Do you have any plan in releasing translation? Because if you plane to make any boxed/digital release including Italian, I could be just the guy!
Congrats for your great Work!
