Uh....wat?!? Happiness/Unhappiness has zero affect on consumner goods consumption; are you sure that their living standards on the new species didn't just default to something insane like Chemical Bliss, or you added it to a whole bunch of your specialist/ruler pops?

As far as their PP goes, I have no idea. I assume it would be like gestalts and they just.....count as neither increasing nor decreasing stability. It's a similar mechanic to rogue servitors: the happy biotrophies do increase stability, but not by the maximum amount because the gestalt pops still have default PP and drag the stability toward +0%.

are we playing the same game? I have an authoritarian fanatic xenophobe empire with aristocratic elite and syncretic evolution and all my planets have between 80 and 100% stability( most higher than 90%), really high happiness, crime only because of crime syndicate and on my resort world, even my penal world have none. I agree that 15% stability bonus is really good but it's not a must have.
In an other hand i found that crime is a must have : seriously 10% stability bonuses with so few drawback....

I've used nerve stapling dozens of times and it's never screwed up my economy. Never nerve staple a species that isn't already enslaved.

Crime lords are basically the Stability Lords. Far more efficient than your aristocratic elite and their fancy stability jobs. :rolleyes:
