Hey-oh
I've noticed a couple of threads kinda touching on this, but I wanted to suggest a small change to Arguin in game.
In game Arguin has a set of possible trade goods it can spawn: Livestock, Wool, Slaves, Fish and Grain. These seem to be just due to the weight system of the game and not really representative of historical Arguin.
From what little I could gather, Arguin - asides from the fishing in the area - was set up as a trade port for three major commodities: enslaved people, arabic gum and gold. In fact, the Portuguese would trade livestock and cloth products at the feitoria. As such I'd remove Livestock, Wool and Grain from possible trade goods spawning upon colonizing Arguin.
As such I'd suggest Arguin's possible trade goods change to Slaves, Dyes, Fish and Gold. I'm not sure how the balancing would happen with a gold mine, but it'd be historical.
Further, I'd suggest giving it a small event for the first European nation colonizing it getting some sort of +1/+2 production to represent it being the first entrepot to cross the Bojador Cape and an event around 1600 or connected to the spawning of Global Trade, to mark the time by which Arguin had been eclipsed from the trade routes and fallen into neglect.
