Here's a clue: one of the dates is 1066, the other is 1081. Look at Henry's year of birth.

1187 is a vintage Ck1 start date and my earliest CK memory. It should be included eventually IMO, maybe throw it in with a 4th crusade flavor pack

Pity he forgot about legitimizing his bastards or arranging a matrilineal marriage for his daughter. Otherwise he'd be competing with Alfonso VI of Leon as the most CK-like historical ruler. Or maybe that actually helps his case...

What I like to do sometimes in CK2 is advance the timeline manually and pick on of the actual crusader kings. Like the Baldwins. I never really played the Third Crusade bookmark, but one of the other dates can be a lot of fun. I understand why that feature isn't in it though.

What I really miss is the Alexiad. That's just a scenario that isn't going to happen naturally. Whereas there are ways to play as crusader kingdoms

It won't feel like a Crusader Kings game without it.
