Are we going to see pressreviews before launch?

I prepurchased my extreme copy of EU4 and will always be a loyal servant to the mighty Paradoxians but I was wondering if we will see reviews of EU4 coming from Gamespot ,Atomic gamer...
I'm quite curious about what they have to say about the game ,except for the learning curve.

And will their reviews come out before or after release?

I have often read in reviews, that the interface is so complicated, the learning curve so great, not to mention the idiotic remark about the map(that it looks the same in every Paradox game...dumb asses). So I wouldn't recommend making a buying decision of PDS games based on a review.

As far as i know, until CK2, this was true.

I don't think anyone here will decide whether to buy or not the game depending on some reviews. I'm fairly sure most people on the forum already pre-ordered.

Having said that, I'm looking forward to the reviews, I'm curious to see the numbers and new screenshots/details.

No worries just helping out OP, most of the previews are 'hands on' so they could tell you something about the learning curve / difficulty of the game.

Why? 8 weeks is plenty of time to test game and get to know it (it's enough to finish both Baldurs Gates ). Unless You're waiting till last few days before release?

He is saying that they don't have 8 weeks to review the finished games anymore. A game like this would require dozens of hours to do a proper full review of and that just isn't happening for a pre or simultaneous review on release if it is only finished a week or so beforehand.

Essentially, he's saying that EU:IV hasn't gone gold yet. It'll probably go gold on Monday, the 12, whereby reviewers will receive their review copies.
