this is the bigger point. Hard to sell a future DLC around Scandinavia without Finland. So instead of putting it in this one you put it in that one. Now you have two things to sell
I for one would buy a country pack with just Denmark, Sweden and Norway but I am just a sucker who buys every pack that comes out for this game, Hell I bought BftB and only ever play the Yugoslavia rework.

generally when things are made more accessible for average players the people who actually understand and love the old mechanic get upset.
Interesting, I feel like it's the other way around. For example I and most "experienced" players I play with aren't that excited about a tank or plane designer.

I also buy all the content regardless of what’s in it. I didn’t care about any of the nations in Bosporus

Yes -- There won't be a Finland

Also, we've got more info about the Hat: it has something to do with purchasing doctrines with xp (you won't research them anymore)

I hope this is also expanded to air/naval doctrines. Would be a big deal, and would free up so valuable research.
I want to be able to research naval stuff as Germany and build modern battleships like the Tirpitz, without falling back on other crucial research in other branches.

Major overhauls to combat

What major overhauls to combat?
Because so far I've seen minor changes to combat width. If there is more about it, I'd really love to see it.

I really like the research cost change for doctrines. Lots of techs really should have the ability to spend xp to speed them up, and others only be researched through spending xp like doctrines. I wonder though if getting the doctrine tech will be instantaneous or if it will take time but not use up a research slot or if it will be as it is now but hard locked behind spending the xp. I think I'd like the middle option best as it would prevent someone from just getting all the doctrines over a few months of heavy fighting, but also free up some of the burden on our research slots.
