They want to do a scandinavia country pack "in the future" so Finland is out for the eastern front dlc, and will only happen in 2023 or later

They also just confirmed that Finland won't be in the expansion.... good job guys, you replaced a country that played a huge role in Eastern front by 3 Baltic midgets who got eaten up by Soviet Union.

Well, they did state that the Alt-History branches are consistantly popular and seem to be the main reason people are buying the DLC. However, the did note that they want to do the Soviet focus tree right.
They noted that they wanted to do the Baltic trees now because they couldn't fit them into any other DLC or pack. Its sad, but understandable.

The explanation for no Finland was that a Finland rework will require more mechanics and need more development when they were already tapped out on that stuff for this DLC basically.

Which is kinda true, I'm not an expert of the game and when I asked around how to farm general/army exp I thought (and still do) "wtf why does it work that way and why is this the best strat"

I'm not sure the baltic states are a better selling point than Finland honestly.
Also they mention that they want to introduce guerilla warfare before doing Finland, but they don't introduce new mechanics in country packs ? Weird priorities, I think they draw the wrong conclusions to understand the success of their own game.

I thought people were buying and playing alternative history focus trees DLC because that is pretty much the only content released since vanilla.

Did they specifically say there won't be a Finnish focus tree? We Scandis typically consider Scandinavia to be Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
Oh, and Scandinavian country pack (pretty much) confirmed!
