If you are not using a beta version, you'll be unable to grant Viceroys after exiting/reloading the game. Either wait for like, two days tops, or use a beta version.

Yes. Viceroys are one time only feature, per realm. In fact no feudal society had long standing viceroyalty; this is a very historical implementation. Permanent viceroys are op, it detracts from the core gameplay which is vassal management and makes your realm super stable. We shouldn't allow that!:angry:

It is a bug, if you aren't in a beta version the viceroyalty will not be reapplicable after you log out and log back in again. Either use the current beta patch or wait a couple days for them to give out a full version.

No compatibility issues at least as far as my experiences go. Might notice some weird changes like CoA's or something but should be fine with your save mate.

It's amazing to me that one of the major features of the DLC would have such a glaring bug, but I guess it's the norm nowadays to release a shoddy product and have the customers act as the beta testers.

PDS has been doing it since the last century. It is nothing new. What is new is that they are returning to the habit after stating their aim of moving away from it for the "newer gen" games.

Is it ironman compatible?

For the record, with the current beta, the decision is still missing. I guess it could help to change the related law to reset it, unfortunately I cannot (already changed a law). And handing out permanently a kingdom now would be dumb in the current state of things, especially if it is due to a bug that I cannot set a viceroy.
