Are there any plans to continue the Majesty series? I would pay for a Kickstarter effort. Hire the original programmers of Majesty (the first one, not the crap that Majesty 2 was).

Not that I've heard. I recall Shams saying that money wasn't the problem per se- they just didn't consider Majesty worth focusing on relative to other, more promising projects. So at the moment they're just sitting on the franchise.

I think the original programmers are out of the biz. One, Cyberlore Dev, has been making changes to Gold HD in his spare time but that's exactly what he can commit to - his spare time. And he's only one.

Yeah, go take a look on Steam. There's a bunch of mods in the workshop, and everything.

You have to opt into the beta to be able to see the mods, just to be clear :)

I always did find it funny that a game thats been out for nearly 17 years has a beta, but yeah, it's quite good. Fixes up a whole bunch of compatibility issues, makes it work better with steam etc, fixes framerate. He's even thinking of adding multiplayer

The ability to mod is huge for Majesty, so why wouldn't it be in (open) beta? Allows lots of fixes without going through a formal "release"...
