Are there any total bundles in Gamersgate ?

i went through the Eic titles there, and got confused. eic, eic pirate bay, eic privateer, some 'director's cut' that i dont know what it is, which is included in eic privateer, which in turn appears to be a preorder for an addon.

much confusing.

i want to be able to get everything in one shot. is there such an item ? if not, which is which ?

I don't see any bundles on GG. If you buy just the base game Designer's cut is a free update though. Pirate bay and Privateer aren't really expansions in the same sense Deus Vult or Revolutions were, instead they offer different game types: You can play as a Pirate or a Privateer instead of a trading company, but they are almost seperate games albeit set in the same "world" and using the same game engine.

then how does pirate and privateer differ from each other as games ?

From the sound of it, not too much. I've only played Pirate Bay though, so I couldn't tell you exactly. TBH I didn't like PB very much, which is why I didn't get Privateer. If you wanted to get one Privateer is the newer and it has some more traits for captains etc.

btw, what do we do in EIC, do we just trade and fight etc by using ships that ferry in between ports, or is there actual land conquest like real EIC did in history ?

There's not much in the way of conquest, but you can conquor non-european ports. Aside from that it's mostly trading back and forth and fighting naval battles.

it would be great if there was actual land conquest, and factory building etc like in the case of real EIC. is it too hard to build into games i dont understand. most games fail at the point they will be great if they pass the last mile.
