I know that HOI3's Semper Fi provided victory conditions, but HOI 4 never implemented that feature. Does anyone know if there are any mods that provide this feature?

I know there's a lot of emphasis on "create your own goals" and such, but I really wish Paradox would add a DLC for HOI4 that would add some victory condition options for those who like that.

As far as I am aware, there is no such mod, probably because of lack of demand. All that such "a la March of the Eagles" system would do is add a victory screen and some mechanics not a lot of players need, as majority simply stop their game after a point they fullfill their "in the head" victory conditions.

I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to have a certain event for, say, Germany, to trigger if they own certain VPs that says something along the lines of "Victory for the Reich", or simply trigger the end of the game when those VPs are owned. I can't confirm that, though.

It isn't popular enough to get the DLC, so best you can do is improvise by modding it yourself.

Thank you for your reply--got it. I see some YouTube playthroughs that just end when the player gets tired of it. For me, I like having real goals and a sense of accomplishment that's acknowledged by the game. I'm surprised that more people don't want that.

I get where are you coming from, as it can provide you with sense of accomplishment - you certainly aren't the first and won't be the last to request it. I see no issue with it being implemented as optional feature paired with a few achievements. Problem is not enough players need game to acknowledge their victory once it becomes apparent, thus not really much interest to encourage devs to do it. Then again, it isn't that demanding thing to do - just to add another box next to historical/ahistorical focuses and Ironman/normal mode, for sandbox/victory conditions game mode.

Every achievement is a victory condition for some particular scenario.

The main victory condition is winning "the" war. I often like to win the second war as well -- that is, usually it's Axis vs. Allies and Comintern; then there's the war to settle things between the two winners of the first war. But usually winning WW II is sufficient, given that it's a WW II game.

There's also the victory condition announced when you reach the end of game in 1950.

Presumably, you were looking for some other victory condition. What exactly did you have in mind?

I love that idea! Nothing wrong with giving players options for how they want to play. For those who don't like victory conditions, just check sandbox mode. It would be great to see something like that.

I actually suggested this a few months ago, would be awesome to have in the game, whether optional or not.

This thread?

Edit: there are several factions in HoI IV that are often very different from game to game. Might work well for historical mode but I'm sure a new system for one game mode is out of the question. 'Events and Decisions' tries to give the player goals with out ending the game. I don't like it, I recall losing while doing well or just gaining the momentum to really damage the winning faction. I don't want the AI to attempt new strange things with bad timing either.
