Are there any Gestalt primitives? And if not - why not?

Hi all.

As the title says.

Why wouldn't we encounter some pre-space age hive mind? And have some unique interactions? Maybe a devouring swarm breaks out after a "crashed UFO" event...

Eh, the possibilities in this game are infinite....

The primitives are one of the least touched pieces of content for Stellaris.

There's no 'machine' primitives either like a machine uprising in the space age. (or renaissance for mechanists).

I wish primitives' had a big update by the curators.

Yep.

So many sci fi narrative possibilities. SO many potential for unique interactions, by way of observation posts. So many ways ascension paths can tie to observing and manipulating primitives...

It would add a lot to the game, after all the systems have been gobbled up and there's barely any mystery left in the whole galaxy.
