That is my main concern before I seriously consider buying this game...
So what's up for the Alain, Vandales, Gauls and Goths ?

Just so you know, this is a lie. There are 2, German tribes in VANILLA. Not a lot, but there are two.battlecry said:Just so you know. German tribes aren't included in vanilla. We've added them into some mods (including mine), but only Celtic Gauls and Iberians, and the Dacians are included in vanilla.
Also, the very first clear evidence of the Goths is from near the end of the period covered in the game, so they're not likely to be included at all (except possibly in either a non-historical mod, or a mod which changes the timeframe).

In regards to the OP, I don't know about IN, since I won't buy it after the disaster that is EU: Rome. EUIII was bad as was Nappy's Ambition and after I bought Rome, I refuse to buy more of PI's products, until Rome is a game that doesn't have Macedonia colonizing half of the world.
I'm sure it is good, but I've walked away from PI products till I get one I'm satisfied with what I've paid for up to now. And after spending over $150.00 for EU:III, EU:ROME and EU:NAPPY and not getting a good product, I've become one of those "once bitten, twice shy" consumers.cwg9 said:You're missing out, IN has made EU3 into the game it always should have been, you won't regret getting it and it will give you something to do until more Rome patches and mods come out.
Yes, Gauls are interesting to play but it's difficult and tricky. There's the Roman steamroller, though.Greywolf said:That is my main concern before I seriously consider buying this game...

PI needs to regain my trust with EU:ROME, if they can't do that, they can't have more of my money. Now I'm going back to playing WoW.![]()
I still have my EU:I copy, somewhere, so I've been a fan for quite a while. I'm just not willing to throw good money after bad. Loved EU:1, EU:2, HoI, Vicky, HoI2, Vicky:Revolutions, Armaggedon, even liked CK, though I got bored. So, when I claimed that EU:Rome & EU:III & Nappy, disappointed, it doesn't mean I don't know what a good PI game looks like. I'm just not going to give them cash for IN, until Rome is managable without having some Greek settlement on the NW Coast of the Black Sea having the same Civilization rating as Carthage or having Masillia, Bosporeans and Macedonia become colonial superpowers of the ancient world.Eber said:I can understand your despair. However, I been a PI fan since EU2 (which was amazing) and Crusader Kings was also up my alley. At first, I was also disappointed with EU3 but IN has made it incredibly better. Eu:Rome will be a great game, but give it time. It'll take about a year I would say until it's polished enough to be considered great.
