Are huge focus trees (Turkey and Bulgaria) an overkill?

No apologies are necessary. Total realism isn't attainable in a video game, but I would like to see something more similar to Arsenal of Democracy with the C.O.R.E. mod in terms of realism, with aspects from games like Hearts of Iron III, Supreme Ruler Ultimate and Gary Grigsby's War in the East/West/Pacific.

And that's fine, I hope you get that kind of game. I just couldn't enjoy something like that. It feels like being rail raoded into playing only a few nations.

I don't mind a big tree to be honest, more depth and won't run out too fast. Yes it's a bit confusing at first but many focuses are mutually exclusive to others so it is in fact not that big.

There could always be the ability to go down a national focus path automatically by choosing a focus thats below several others. That way it reduces the constant monitoring.
