What about extending it to every child of you dynasty (in your court).
Why wouldn't a ruler have say over a grandchild of a different last name in his court?

I only noticed the own kids part and have to strongly disagree. I would have no problem with only your dinasty bit, but only own kids is too restrictive. That means you cannot pick the education of your grandchildren (your eventual heir), you cannot pick the education of your nephew etc. That means you have control over only a very small part of your court.

PErsonally thats how i'd like it to be. My son is a big boy, and it is his kid after all.

What i would like is to be able to choose the education and events etc of your children, even if they are a 3yr old vassal.

As for how the AI would do it? Just like a human, the kid is sent to the place that will improve his highest stat (ie, if his martial status his the highestm he is sent to the army).

There's currently a 'limiter' on who you can propose marriage for; maybe using the same parameters on the education decision would work as well. Cut down the clutter, while leaving the important decisions to the liege.....

Yeah, you're probably right, never liked it when wrong cultured wrong religious spread their genes in my court. Plus my BB will go down IIRC (for assassination in my own court).

I can stop breeding my courtiers, but it's still(or rather, it always DOES) get to a point where I'm constantly spammed. For example, if my ruler has a brother, and I decide to develop that side of the family, just to say, have more competent dukes later on, or better mates for my sons(inbreeding, yeah!), why should I be stopped from doing that? Because I'll be spammed to death.

That's like saying, "Don't like too much micromanagement? Stop expanding your empire!" It's crazy!

There's plenty of valid reasons not to breed my courtiers already(inbreeding, retardation, cultural/religious contamination) and I don't think "getting spammed to death" is one of them.

Not really. For some that is quite a valid reason as well.

well those others aren't very common. Getting spammed is also legitimate. You are the ruler and so everything in your court ultimately requires your consent.

Well, rulers in micromanagement hell is a very good simulation of being a ruler after all :D

(Anyway, I never get too many problems with spamming: I seldom get lots of my family in my court anwyay, I send a lot of them to rule other parts of the kingdom/duchy.
